eGOB, THE E-GOVERNMENT IN SPAIN
According to a study by consultancy Deloitte, based on data from Eurostat, Spain is at the bottom of European countries in Internet use from home. We're joined in the rankings behind Portugal, Cyprus, Greece, Macedonia and Italy.
No less than half of English households who reported using the Internet in the last three months, while in Iceland, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Denmark the figure is between 80% and 90%.
Nor are used to make electronic forms for administrative and government. In our country, just under 10% of citizens use the Internet as a channel to solve the tasks bureaucratic and less than 15% to interact with the companies that provide basic telephone services, water, gas and electricity.
is estimated that the mere fact of receiving an electronic bill would save up to 0.8% of GDP, for instance.
The contradiction is that 90% of businesses and a large part of the government are accelerating their process of "eGOB" (use of e-government technology), while we prefer to pass by the window or wait for the other side phone to perform daily errands.
The spread of Internet in Spain is still very low. Saves us the use at the offices of the networks, both for our daily work to be informed or take several steps.
operators are still far from providing affordable rates for all citizens and the commitment of government to improve the efficiency and the proximity to the public through the Internet has a lot of travel.
is true that electronic commerce is growing by double digits annually in Spain, but levels still underdeveloped and hard to incorporate the aging population. Internet
us is changing in the information society and social networks. It makes us much more open and free. We're much more info about, but also could be more effective and productive if we could socialize quickly to manage our rights and obligations in the administration and business. We must get to it with more interest and, above all at a reasonable cost.
